Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Refractive Surgery and Corneal Disorders
Dr. Spitzer is a board certified ophthalmologist and completed
his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University. His fellowship in cornea
and refractive surgery was accomplished at Cornea Consultants of Albany associated
with Albany Medical Center. In 2006 Dr. Spitzer joined Eye Consultants of
Syracuse and now specializes in routine and complex cataract surgeries, including
multi focal intraocular lenses. In addition, he performs cutting edge corneal
transplant surgery (DSAEK) and uses the most up-to-date laser technology
for LASIK, epi-lasik, PRK and PTK. Dr. Spitzer performs his refractive surgery
at Laserview of CNY. He is also active in training ophthalmology residents
at Upstate Medical University and the VA Hospital.
